Frequently Asked Questions... |
Peak Climbing & Adventure Company |
Is it safe? YES! Our walls are commercially designed and built to meet exacting industry standards and our auto-belay systems are some of the best made, with built-in back up / redundancy! With our professionally trained staff, this is a very safe experience! So, what is an Auto-Belay? This is the safety system that all climbers are hooked up to. Both of The Peak! Mobile Climbing Walls use a dual hydraulic system with steel aircraft cables (rated at over 7000 pounds!) that will automatically lower climbers when they're ready to come down - this is MUCH safer then manually belaying! The Auto-belay system also allows the staff to spend time coaching and helping climbers! How old do you have to be? We have had climbers as young as 3, and folks well into their 80's make it to the top. Our only requirements are a minimum of 30 pounds to a maximum of 250 pounds and, of course, a desire to have fun! What about staffing? Our wall prices include staffing. All our staff members work in the outdoor education field, have been professionally trained in the operation of The Peak! Mobile Climbing Walls, and have a minimum of CPR/1st aid certification! How much does it cost? There are many options available; please see our “Rates” page! Are you insured? YES! We are fully insured. Additional Insured certificates are available if required. How much room do you need? We need a flat area with a minimum size of 15’ x 35’. The Peak! Mobile Climbing Walls are towed behind a standard pick-up truck, so we will also need enough room to pull in and out of the area! How do I reserve The Peak! for my next event? Call or email us, and we'll take it from there! We require a nominal deposit, as well as a signed contract to hold your date. Why Choose Peak Climbing? Unlike some climbing wall operators, this is all we do. This IS our day job! We offer a great service at reasonable rates. We all worked in the outdoor education field, and have lots of outdoor, High Rope Course and rock climbing experience. We all worked in the outdoor education, Don taught the Wilderness Studies Certificate Program at California State University Long Beach! We can also help with other attractions, such as inflatables, quad rides, bungee jumpers, mechanical bulls, simulator rides, cotton candy and pop-corn machines! We can truly make your next event “One To Remember”! Peak Climbing & Adventure Company PO Box 4171 Big Bear Lake, CA 92315 714.642.9749 |
